SOL: What is the scan accuracy?

The accuracy of the SOL 3D scanner is 0.004 inches (0.1 mm) in near mode. Near-mode is for objects up to 3.9 in (100 mm) diameter cylinder, 3.9 in (100 mm) tall).

The accuracy is measured from detailed test and indicates an average resolution with some objects (depending on surface detals) scanning is at 0.07 mm accuracy.

Please note the scan is less accurate if you use the turbo scanning mode and if set the scanner in far position. (The accuracy is about ¼ in far position compared to near position.)
