      Why is an internet connection required?

      In the SOL software, we use a valid internet connection for the following:
      1 - If registered it will prompt when an update to the SOL viewer or the SOL software
      2 - If the device has been recalled
      3 - The number of SMS notifications remains
      4 - The ability to share to P3D.in or on social media
      5 - Uploading files to support when requested.
      6 - Checks the scanner is a legitimate purchase.
      Our scanner only needs an internet connection when it starts up or uploading/sharing. It doesn’t use the internet during scanning. It is more for downloading and log checking.
